BRAND X Fare Ticket, Point Lookout, NY – 1977 Captain George Porter's "BRAND X" was built in 1944 by Higgins Industries at New Orleans, LA as the U.S. Navy Motor Torpedo Boat "PT-309". She was purchased as surplus in 1960 by Captain Ira "Sonny" Ether and converted to his party fishing boat "SHERRY ANN" from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY. In 1969 she became Captain George Porter's "BRAND X" from Point Lookout, NY and later from Greenport, NY. She is now fully restored as the "PT-309" and on display at the Nimitz Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, TX.
