![West Bank Lighthouse, Raritan Bay – 1990 The West Bank Lighthouse [40° 32' 18" N – 74° 02' 36" W] circa 1990. Also located on the eastern end of Raritan Bay and 3.3 miles East of New Dorp Beach, Staten Island, NY. It was built in 1901 and heightened in 1908 and is a cast iron conical "spark plug" style light sitting on a concrete/cast iron caisson. And at 70-feet, is the tallest lighthouse in the New York Bight.
