FLEUR DE LIS, Wildwood, NJ – 1940 Captain Harry Sinn's "FLEUR DE LIS" from Wildwood, NJ circa 1940. She was built in 1930 by the Kofoed Boat Works, Keyport, NJ and was used as a prohibition-era rumrunner boat. Rumrunner boats typically had a low profile so patrol vessels could not easily see their silhouette against the backdrop of shore lights. A few years after this photo was taken, her deck was raised and a cabin and wheelhouse were added.
