BUCCANEER, Wildwood Crest, NJ – 1982
Captain Jeff Stewart's "BUCCANEER" sailed from Sinn's Dock at Wildwood Crest, NJ. She was built in 1944 at Upper Nyack, NY as the US Navy Patrol Boat "P-444". Sold as surplus to Captain George Sinn, the boat sailed as his "BIG FLAMINGO" and later as his sightseeing vessel "PT-109" before becoming the "BUCCANEER" in 1982.
She is still in service and is presently sailing from Greenport, NY as Captain Dave Brennan's "PECONIC STAR II". Photo courtesy of Captain Jeff Stewart Jr.
