EVELYN, Brooklyn, NY – 1906 The steam yacht "EVELYN" is seen in this postcard before she was converted to a party fishing boat. Built in 1892 at Nyack, NY and originally named the "LINTA", she later became the "EVELYN" and was purchased by Captains Jacob and Dave Martin in 1911. She was the first of many converted steam yachts to operate as a party fishing boat from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY.
