CAPT. STARN VI, Atlantic City, NJ – 1975 The christening moment of the CAPT. STARN VI" on March 28, 1975 at Atlantic City, NJ. Standing in the bow with the white captain's hat is Captain Clarence 'Skeetz' Apel along with his wife Barbara as they do the honors with the bubbly. Further to the right are Starn's Manager, George Crook and Captain Burt Whitaker (who operated the boat during her tenure with the Starn Fleet.) The "CAPT. STARN VI" later sailed as Captain Andrew Applegate's "APPLEJACK" from Atlantic City, NJ. The boat then sailed from Gloucester, MA and made whale watching trips as Captain Bill Cunningham's "MISS CAPE ANN". (If you happen to watch the television series "Wicked Tuna", she is often seen in the background as the tuna are off-loaded at the buyers dock.) In January 2019, the boat became Captain Rob Andresen's "CAPTREE PRIDE" from Captree, NJ. Photo courtesy of Ann Apel Eble.
