NEW INLET PRINCESS, Murrells Inlet, SC – 1973

The "NEW INLET PRINCESS" was built by Gulf Craft Inc. for Captain Everette Ayers and this photo shows her when construction was completed in May 1973. At the time, she was powered by three Detroit Diesel 12-71 engines and had a top speed of 26 knots during her sea trials, which was quite an achievement for a vessel of this size. Celebrating her fortieth birthday, this 90 footer continues to sail under her original name from Murrells Inlet, SC. Photo courtesy of Scotty Tibbs II and Gulf Craft Inc.
