SHADY LADY, Virginia Beach, VA – 1972 The "SHADY LADY" shortly after Gulf Craft Inc. completed her construction in 1972. She was delivered to Captain John Pierce in December of that year. The "SHADY LADY" sailed from Rudee Inlet in Virginia and was the first party boat built by Gulf Craft Inc. At the time, the "SHADY LADY" was one of the earliest all-aluminum party fishing boats on the Atlantic Coast. She later changed ports and sailed from Hatteras Village, NC. After that, she sailed as the "CAPT. CASEY" and is presently sailing as Captain Arnold 'Speedy' Hubert's "SPEEDY EXPRESS" from Captree, New York. Photo courtesy of Scotty Tibbs II and Gulf Craft Inc.
