ATLANTIS, Brielle, NJ – 1982
Captain Francis Bogan's "ATLANTIS" is seen here as she returns to Brielle, NJ circa 1982. The "ATLANTIS" was built in 1977 by East Bay Boat Works of Harkers Island, NC as the "MARSHA M." She then became the "ATLANTIS" and later relocated to Atlantic City, NJ as the excursion vessel "HARRAH'S CLIPPER". She was sold in 1989 and relocated to the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor on Lake Michigan where she sailed as the sightseeing vessel "LADY QWESTOR". In 1992 she returned to the Jersey shore as Captain Bill Hauck's "SEA KING" from Belmar, NJ and she currently sails under the same name from Marathon, Florida. Photo courtesy of Bill Horan.
