SEA DEVIL, Point Pleasant, NJ – 1978
Captain Bob Pennington's "SEA DEVIL" from Point Pleasant, NJ circa 1978. She was built in 1960 by Gillikin Boat Works, Harkers Island, NC as the "VIKING" and sailed from Barnegat Light, NJ. She was sold in 1966 and she became Captain Bob Bogan's "GAMBLER" from Point Pleasant, NJ. In 1976, she became the "SEA DEVIL" and in 1979, she relocated to Atlantic Highlands, NJ as Captain 'Sarge' Batrouny's "OASIS". She would later sail as the "TWILIGHT" from Wildwood, NJ and then as the "CAPT. DAVE" from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY. Not surprisingly, she has the nickname of the 'Used-To-Be'.
