16-20 | SOUTH JERSEY TOURNAMENTS - MID-ATLANTIC $500,000 TOURNAMENT |  Five days of offshore tournament fishing for Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Tuna, Dolphin and Wahoo. $500,000 in tournament prizes, plus a variety of Calcuttas are up for grabs. Captain's meeting 4:30 PM Sunday, August 15 at the Canyon Club Resort Marina. Dockside dining, entertainment and awards ceremony is 8:00 PM Friday, August 20 at the Canyon Club Resort Marina.
Date: Fishing days are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 20, 2010. Weigh-ins are from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM each day.

21 | FRIENDLY SONS OF THE SHILLELAGH - THIRD ANNUAL FLUKE TOURNAMENT |  This one day Fluke Tournament sponsored by the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of the
Jersey Shore. There will be $5,000 in prizes awarded. All proceeds to benefit the Recreational Fishing Alliance, Save the Summer Flounder Fishery Fund and the FSOS Foundation. The Captain's Meeting is Friday August 20. Winners will be announced at the Awards Picnic at the Club located at 815 16th Avenue, Belmar, NJ. The picnic is free for all registered anglers and guests are welcome to attend at a nominal fee. Applications are
available at local tackle stores or at the club in Belmar.

23-27 | 3RD ANNUAL TUNA STAKES INVITATIONAL |  Held in memory of Dr. Leonard Strobel, the Tuna Stakes Invitational benefits the Deborah Hospital Foundation, Browns Mills, NJ. Deborah is recognized as the premier cardiac, pulmonary and vascular health care provider in New Jersey. Deborah has been able to accomplish all this
while sustaining a mission that no patient or their family has ever received a bill for services.
A flexible format will allow boats to leave any inlet between from Shark River Inlet south to Cape May Inlet. Fishing will be Captain's Choice of one of five nights after the Captain's Meeting on 3:30 PM Sunday August 22 at Hooters of Trump Marina Hotel Casino, Atlantic City, NJ. A boat may fish a second day of the
tournament if they pay a second basic entry fee and any added skill level entries for that day if they choose.
Boats may leave anytime after 5:00 AM, fishing from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM the following morning. The weigh-in will be held at Farley State Marina in Atlantic City, NJ and Hoffman's Marina in Brielle, NJ and the scales will be open at Noon each day. Cash prizes will be awarded for the following species: Big Eye,
Yellowfin, Bluefin and Longfin. The award banquet is 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday August 29 in the Bay View Room at Trump Marina Hotel Casino, Atlantic City, NJ

 Manasquan River's only offshore tournament. $50,000 estimated cash awards and culcuttas for Tuna, Marlin, Swordfish and Mahi Mahi. All boats must leave from and return

11 | 17TH ANNUAL HOOKED ON FISHING NOT ON DRUGS TOURNAMENT |  Sponsored by the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association for children ages 16 and under at Island Beach State Park, Seaside Park, NJ. Registration is 8 AM to 10 AM at Swimming Area #1 and is free. The NJBBA will provide limited bait and tackle and will be at the water's edge to measure and record fish during the fishing time from 10:00 AM to 1:00
PM. Refreshments will be available between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. Awards, Prizes and Grab Bags will be given at the Awards Ceremony at 3:00 PM.

2 | SIXTH ANNUAL FISHIN' IN SEASIDE HEIGHTS (F.I.S.H) TOURNAMENT |  Sponsored by the Seaside Heights Fishing Club and the Seaside Heights Business Improvement District, the festivities include a Children's Fishing Tournament from 10 AM to 2 PM on the oceanfront in two categories: 12 years old and under, and 13 years old to 16 years old. Registration for the tournament will start at 9 AM at the Franklin Avenue Stage.
The first 200 participants will receive a free T-shirt from the Seaside Heights Fishing Club. Free bait will be provided as well as hooks and sinkers for the children to use. Light refreshments will be provided for the children. Awards will be given out immediately following the tournament.

19TH ANNUAL GOVERNOR'S SURF FISHING TOURNAMENT | The individual who catches the overall largest fish wins the "Governor's Award", and
has his/her name engraved on the Governor's Cup, which is permanently displayed at Island Beach State Park. Fishing equipment is awarded to winners who catch the largest fish in each species category. Winners from the early entry drawing and the tournament must be present during the afternoon awards ceremony to claim their prizes. Early registration (by September 1), saves anglers $5 off the entry fee.
The tournament is sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife and Division of Parks and Forestry, the New Jersey Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, the Jersey Coast Anglers Association, and the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association.
